Two people, five printers, a lot of sandpaper

mm3d started in 2021 on a single printer in Mel Fernandes' spare bedroom, printing name tags for a friend's daughter's birthday. The tags went round the WhatsApp group and the orders never really stopped.

Today we're Mel and Rhea, five printers, and a small bench of files, spatulas and sanding sponges in Jayanagar. We model, print, sand, seal and pack everything ourselves. Nothing is outsourced, which is why we're honest when a deadline is too tight.

We print in PLA, PETG and resin. Where we can, we use recycled-content filament and recycled board packaging, and we keep failed prints for regrind rather than binning them.
